New court documents show that Fortnite didn’t rely on Apple’s platform for much of its overall revenue. According to files seen by the Verge from Epic’s trial against Apple, the iOS system was one of the smallest platforms in terms of revenue for Epic Games. These documents show that iOS revenues in 2020 were projected to be just 5.8% of all earnings, compared to 24% for Xbox One and “almost 40%” for PlayStation 4....

Ten One Design has released an updated version of its drawing plug-in, Inklet, adding pressure-sensitive drawing on the new Force Touch trackpad in all Mac drawing apps, including Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture and Illustrator. Instapaper, the popular read-it-later application, revealed today that it will temporarily suspend service in Europe. Instapaper says it will be unavailable beginning tomorrow, Thursday, May 24th, as it continues to make GDPR-required changes… The General Data Protection Regulation, or GPDR, goes into effect on Friday, May 25th. It sets new requirements on how companies handle user data. GDPR requires that users opt-in to all commercial use of personal data. Instapaper made its announcement in an email to users, saying it will essentially go offline for all European users as it works to ensure all of its practices are GDPR compliant....
The developers behind iOS news app Pipes have released an interactive Apple Watch demo online that allows users and developers to take parts of the interface for a test run before the device launches to the public. Instagram is introducing a new sharing format that lets you publish multiple photos and videos in a single post on the social network. Posts were previously limited to single photos or videos with the exception of Stories which are ephemeral. The new Instagram format supports up to 10 photos and videos in a single post.
